Taoyuan Airport MRT – Express Train

Purple-line express trains run between Airport Terminal 1/2 (stations A12/A13) and A1 Taipei Main Station in about 35–39 minutes from roughly 06:00–23:00, stopping only at New Taipei Industrial Park and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. This is the fastest public transport link and connects directly into the Taipei Main Station rail and metro complex for onward travel across the city.

Taoyuan Airport MRT – Commuter Train

Blue-line commuter trains run all stations between the airport (A12/A13) and A1 Taipei Main Station in about 45–50 minutes, with service roughly 06:00–23:00. They are slightly slower than the express but run at the same flat fare and are useful when the next express departure is further away.

Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport 1819 (TPE Taipei Main Station)

Route 1819 is a 24‑hour airport bus linking both terminals to Taipei Main Station in about 55–70 minutes depending on traffic. It is one of the most used night-time options when the Airport MRT is closed and serves the Taipei Main Station/BUS station complex on the city side.

CitiAir Bus 1961 / other Taipei Main Station airport buses

Several shared airport buses, including CitiAir-branded routes, run from Taoyuan Airport to Taipei Main Station and nearby central districts in about 55–80 minutes. They typically operate from early morning until around 02:00 with intervals of roughly 30–60 minutes and can be convenient for late arrivals or travellers staying near central Taipei surface bus stops.

Airport Taxi to Taipei Main Station area

Metered taxis queue outside the arrivals halls 24/7 and reach the Taipei Main Station/Ximending central area in about 40–60 minutes depending on traffic. Fares are higher than public transport but offer a door‑to‑door option at any hour, including when rail and most buses are not running.
